Target to ‘reach agreement in principle’ with Rangers player – Deal could be blow for Philippe Clement

Rangers’ contract with John Lundstram expires at the end of this season, and Philippe Clement had previously expressed the Ibrox club’s intention to extend it.

Trabzonspor is keen to sign the 30-year-old on a free transfer from Rangers during the summer transfer window, as that hasn’t happened yet.

We reported on Turkish reports four days ago, claiming that the midfield player has chosen to leave Philippe Clement’s team due to dissatisfaction with Rangers’ renewal offer.

Additionally, it was reported that the Turkish team had stepped up communication with the midfield player from Rangers after receiving approval from their technical leaders to proceed with the transfer.
Abdullah Avcı, the manager of Fanatik state Trabzonspor, has also approved the signing of the Englishman for the upcoming window. The Turkish team has already reached an agreement with Borna Barišić of Rangers, so now they are concentrating on their Ibrox colleague.

Trabzonspor reportedly wants to “reach an agreement in principle” with the midfield player from Rangers so that he can sign with them as a free agent.

Lundstram has played in 49 games for the Rangers this season, managing two goals and seven assists.
