Rangers set to bank tasty transfer windfall as Bayern Munich seal of approval expected to spark cash

Rangers are poised to receive a substantial financial gain as PSV Eindhoven intensifies its efforts to convert Malik Tillman’s loan from Bayern Munich into a permanent transfer this summer. The American player joined PSV at the beginning of the season and has become a crucial player for Peter Bosz’s team, contributing to their league success and securing a spot in the Champions League last-16.

PSV’s director of football, Earnie Stewart, is eager to finalize a permanent deal for Tillman worth approximately £12 million, which would significantly benefit Rangers financially as per their existing agreement with Bayern Munich.

Last summer, former Rangers manager Michael Beale showed interest in activating the club’s option-to-buy clause for Tillman after his impressive loan spell. However, Bayern opted out of the deal with Rangers at the last moment, compensating them with £1 million and agreeing to pay ten percent of any future sale.

Stewart, discussing Tillman’s and Barcelona loanee Sergino Dest’s future on ESPN, indicated that the decision on permanent deals for both players rests with him and expressed hope that they would stay at PSV.

Tillman is open to permanently moving to PSV for £12 million if Bayern agrees to a transfer offer, which would result in Rangers receiving a significant windfall of £1.2 million. However, as of now, an agreement between Bayern Munich and PSV has not been finalized, leaving open the possibility of Tillman returning to Bayern after his loan stint.
