Rangers FC stands to gain a significant transfer windfall as PSV Eindhoven pursues a permanent deal for Malik Tillman, who has been on loan from Bayern Munich and has impressed during his time in the Netherlands. Tillman, a 21-year-old USA international, has become a key player for PSV Eindhoven, helping them perform well in the Eredivisie and secure a spot in the Champions League last-16.

PSV’s director of football, Earnie Stewart, is eager to finalize a permanent deal for Tillman, which is reported to be valued at around £12 million. This potential transfer would greatly benefit Rangers financially, as they have a package in place with Bayern Munich that includes a significant portion of the transfer fee if Tillman’s move becomes permanent.

Former Rangers manager Michael Beale was keen on activating the club’s option-to-buy clause for Tillman last summer, but Bayern Munich intervened and paid £1 million in compensation to Rangers, along with promising a percentage of any future sale.

In discussions about Tillman’s future and that of Barcelona loanee Sergino Dest on ESPN, Stewart indicated that the decision on permanent deals for both players is within his purview. However, the finalization of the agreement between Bayern Munich and PSV Eindhoven is still pending, leaving Tillman’s future uncertain.

Tillman himself is open to the idea of making a permanent switch to PSV Eindhoven if Bayern Munich accepts a transfer offer, which would result in Rangers receiving a significant windfall of £1.2 million. However, until an agreement is reached between the two clubs, Tillman’s return to Bayern Munich remains a possibility at the end of his loan spell.
