Rangers: Following Jack Butland’s rejection, WWE star Drew McIntyre lashes out at “Bloody Idiot” Gareth Southgate.

Drew McIntyre, a professional wrestler, called Gareth Southgate a “bloody idiot” for leaving Jack Butland, the goalie for Rangers, out of his England team.

Despite being in terrific form, the Ibrox goalkeeper was left out of the team at the last minute for games against Brazil and Belgium.

And when the famous Rangers supporter was questioned about the choice on That’s Football (March 26), he declared the goalie to be the team’s finest player.

He said, “Yeah, they’re idiots for leaving him off the squad.”

He is with our greatest player, Tav, the captain. We’ve been looking for a goalkeeper to replace Allan McGregor for such a long time that we’ve had to bring McGregor back after trying many other keepers.

But he’s the guy with Butland, at last. He’s blazing with passion. He is, in my opinion, our finest player—possibly even better than the captain—and it would be foolish of you to leave him out of the England team. And from Drew McIntyre, a terrible moron.

“He is incredible. I can’t believe how wonderful he has been to us. Right now, the squad as a whole is really moving forward.

“It’s sad that there wasn’t a violent penalty in the opening game with the Europa. Nevertheless, Butland is a major factor in our momentum and the league we have a game in hand means we will win.

In the season finale, Rangers win despite England losing.

To most, Butland was a given for the team, thus his absence from the roster when Aaron Ramsdale and Sam Johnstone were called up was unexpected.

The situation was further exacerbated when Johnstone withdrew from the team after the first match against Brazil, and Southgate chose to choose Under-21 goalkeeper James Trafford in his place.

However, this might work to Rangers’ advantage since it allowed a vital player to recuperate before a highly demanding stretch of the season, when he will need to be at the peak of his game if the team is to win.

Given the severity of the England national team’s injury issue during this break, it would have been expected if he had suffered an injury to compound the Ibrox curse.

Rather, in anticipation of the summer European Championships, he is eager to demonstrate his worth as a possible choice, so he will be as hungry and dedicated as ever.
