Rangers: As departure news becomes available, Philippe Clement will miss Borna Barisic more than he realizes.

In his short tenure in the Ibrox dugout, Rangers manager Philippe Clement has performed well.

The manager has assembled an incredible team that, having previously won the League Cup, was battling on all fronts until recently.

The Gers are eliminated from the Europa League with their round of 16 defeat to Benfica, but they are still in the running for the Scottish Premiership and Scottish Cup.

Their skilled team has been essential to their recent success, and Clement is free to rotate his starting lineup.

Borna Barisic, a left-back, has been a part of that rotation as well, substituting for Ridvan Yilmaz on occasion.

But the boss seems to prefer the latter, with the Turkey defender seeming to be the starting left-back at Ibrox.

Given that Barisic has already committed to a free move to Trabzonspor as soon as the summer transfer window opens, it’s possible that the circumstances have pushed him to make a departure choice.

Rangers’ Borna Barisic is expected to leave this summer.

Although it is maybe not unexpected that he is leaving since his contract is about to expire, Clement will nevertheless miss him.

The 31-year-old has made 230 appearances for the massive Scottish team, contributing 54 assists and 10 goals [Transfermarkt].

When given the opportunity, the left-back has contributed to five clean sheets in the Scottish Premiership this season alone. He has also retrieved 3.3 balls per game, made 1.6 clearances, 1.5 tackles, and has a 79% passing accuracy rate. [Sofascore].
