POSITIVE NEWS: Todd Cantwell May Be Available for Rangers vs Hibernian.

Joshua Barrie reports that Todd Cantwell may start for the Rangers against Hibernian at Ibrox on March 30, marking his first start since his injury return.

After starting from the bench in the 1-0 loss to Benfica, the journalist for Rangers Review clarified on March 27 that he might be ready for a start thanks to the additional rest during the international break.

Given the form he was starting to display under Philippe Clement, Cantwell’s injury blow was deemed “unfortunate,” and he will now be looking to continue where he left off.

Barrie clarified, “It felt like he was starting to really kick into gear this season,” in an interview with The Rangers Review on March 27. That was unfortunate because it seemed like we were just beginning to see the best of Cantwell before that injury.

“However, it now appears a little bit stronger when you consider that Tom Lawrence, at number ten, has just finished his best stretch of play for the Rangers.

Cantwell has also occasionally played off the left side of the field. While I don’t think that position would suit him under Clement, it does give him a little bit more versatility.

The fact that he is returning is a huge plus. You would think that he might start against Hibs because he was not absent during the international break.

Could Todd Cantwell Start Against Hibernian?
The international break came at the wrong time for Cantwell’s recuperation, according to Dr Rajpal Brar, who recently spoke with Ibrox News. The longer time away from the pitch after a month-long injury raised the possibility of re-injury.

On the other hand, he has had an additional two weeks of rest and recuperation in addition to training and catching up with Clement, which may give him a great advantage when he starts the match against Hibs.

Cantwell’s manager, Barry Ferguson, had even suggested that he should have started the match against Benfica, but he decided not to take a chance, so this might be the best opportunity for the midfield player to fully rejoin the first team.

With Cantwell’s talent, which is relatively unique in this Rangers team, his return could be extremely beneficial to the team in the ongoing race for the championship, and Clement will be happy to have him back if he can return to his pre-injury form.
