Player close to reaching agreement with Rangers, talks ongoing for next major signing – report

According to AfricaFoot, Rangers are interested in signing Adama Traore from Ferencvaros to strengthen their attacking options.

According to the news outlet, the 28-year-old is catching Rangers’ interest, and the Glasgow club want to lure him to Ibrox this summer.

The Bears have taken steps to bring him on board, and conversations are advanced. Several European clubs have expressed interest in the forward who scored 14 goals last season, but he is close to concluding an agreement with Rangers.

Rangers are trying to complete the £3.5 million agreement to sign the Mali international.

The Ibrox revolution is in full swing under Philippe Clement.

Philippe Clement appears to have wasted little time in acquiring new players as he prepares for a significant squad revamp.

To make room for new players, the Bears must let go of a number of undesired guys. According to reports, Clement plans to bring in at least eight new players this summer.

Last week, the club announced the signing of Brazilian left-back Jefte. Mohamed Diomande, who impressed on loan from Danish side Nordsaelland last season, is poised to make the move permanent this summer.

Rangers are trying to sign Panama international Jose Cordoba, who will undergo a medical in the next 48 hours. Liam Kelly is also expected to arrive on a free transfer.

Abdallah Sima has returned to Brighton, but the Gers may be trying to sign him again. The same cannot be said for Fabio Silva, who has returned to Wolves following a dismal loan spell. Scott Wright’s long-term future is uncertain, thus Clement needs quality in attacking areas. Traore may be a good signing.

Borna Barisic and John Lundstram are expected to leave the club for Turkey, while Ianis Hagi may also depart this summer.
