‘Oh God’ – Rangers are furious with another Ibrox injury setback after Dujon Sterling astounds commentators.

Derek Ferguson says there is “a lot to like about” Dujon Sterling at the Rangers and that he has truly impressed a lot of people.

The former player for the Gers is thrilled with the influence the former Chelsea star has had since joining on a free transfer in the summer and finds it “really frustrating” that he is one of the most recent important players to be sidelined due to injury.

In the 2-0 Scottish Cup triumph over Hibs, Sterling, 24, hobbled out due to a hamstring injury, but not before winning a penalty that only Michael Stewart found debatable.

Ferguson thinks that the utility man’s predicted “fortune” to the club when he departs is still a long way off.

“It’s just a real frustration that he picked up a wee niggling injury last week in the cup game, but oh God, I think me like a lot of Rangers supporters are well impressed with him,” he remarked in an exclusive interview with Ibrox New.

“I’m just hoping that the boy has a long future at Rangers because there’s a lot to like about him.”

Philippe Clement’s latest Ibrox injury headache has left the Rangers without their breakout sensation.

Under Philippe Clement, Sterling has already proven to be invaluable. He scored his first senior goal as a winger away at Benfica in the Europa League and was instrumental in the Viaplay Cup victory.

His absence for the second leg at Ibrox may have contributed to Rangers’ elimination from the playoffs in a close match.

It is extremely distressing for another important player to be involved in Auchenhowie’s injury problems, as the manager has acknowledged on several occasions. The team has battled on several fronts and clawed back the advantage in the title fight while winning a trophy.
