Ibrox Exclusive: Top Rangers star considering a move to a Premier League team

Rangers goalkeeper Jack Butland has not ruled out a move to the Premier League this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

The 31-year-old has been in superb form at Ibrox this season and is eager to prove himself again in England.

It is understood that Butland is happy at Rangers and is delighted with his decision to move to the Glasgow giants last summer, but feels that he is still at an age where he can impress in the Premier League.

Sources say that Butland was “in the frame” to be recalled to the England squad – he feels that a move back to the Premier League could help his chances of a Three Lions call-up.

Butland has previous experience in the Premier League with Birmingham City, Stoke City, Crystal Palace and Manchester United.

He only made 17 appearances during his time at Selhurst Park before his contract expired in 2023 but his stock has risen after a very impressive start to his Rangers career.

Butland has made 47 appearances for Gers this season – including every available minute in the league – and has kept 23 clean sheets.

Philippe Clement’s side boast the best defensive record in the Scottish Premiership having only conceded 16 goals in 29 league matches in 2023-24.
