Former Celtic winger reacts to Philippe Clement’s Dundee remarks, calling them “extremely poor.”

In support of Rangers manager Philippe Clement, who has been criticizing Dundee’s handling of their soggy surface, is former Celtic winger Aiden McGeady.

Following a double pitch inspection, Rangers’ Scottish Premiership match against Dundee at Dens Park was called off at the last minute.

However, as the squad prepared for the game and thousands of supporters arrived, Rangers were incensed at the lack of communication regarding the situation.

The club didn’t find out until a Rangers kitman showed up at the stadium, and the ensuing fallout has affected the match.

Aiden McGeady agrees with Philippe Clement

After the game, Philippe Clement criticized the decision’s optics, pointing out that the only postponed SPFL game of the weekend was Rangers’ televised trip to Dundee.

Additionally, Aiden McGeady was responding to remarks made on the BBC’s Scottish Football Podcast. This is the fourth time this season that the struggling Dens Park staff has failed to create a surface worthy of recognition.

Claiming to agree with Philippe Clement, you can be sure Dundee has made a huge mistake when a well-known former Celtic player expresses such open criticism.

“I must concur with his remarks made during the postponement of the game,” McGeady remarked. The level of communication is really low.
