“Dundee Faces Double Trouble: Sutton Slams Embarrassing Rangers Clash Postponement!”

Rangers and Dundee should be awarded a point each following the embarrassing postponement of their clash at Dens Park, according to Chris Sutton.

Philippe Clement’s team was scheduled to play at Dens Park on Wednesday (10 April) after the original match was canceled due to an unplayable pitch. However, heavy rain led referee Don Robertson to postpone the game once again.

Sutton, while admitting his support for Rangers and labeling Dundee’s pitch as an “embarrassment,” jokingly proposed that each team should be awarded a single point if the game cannot be played, a suggestion that would benefit Celtic.

On “It’s All Kicking Off” (11 April, 24:30), he remarked, “How can Dundee United play but Dundee can’t? I’m siding with Rangers on this, which is rare for me. Climate change was discussed, yet just 100 yards away, their rivals were playing. They should have managed the pitch better; it’s embarrassing. The fairest solution would be to give both teams a point.”

Even Sutton, notorious for his reluctance to support Rangers, agrees with the Gers in this case. The current scenario, with five games already postponed at Dens Park before the Premiership split, is unacceptable. It’s clear that Dundee’s pitch doesn’t meet the standards expected in a top-tier league.Rangers Philippe Clement

Rangers manager Phillipe Clement expressed frustration over the Dens Park postponement. The SPFL has vowed to penalize Tony Docherty’s team, emphasizing the need to prevent such disruptions to avoid harming the entire league. Fans in Glasgow’s blue half are unlikely to agree with Sutton’s idea of sharing points; they hope for a successful match next week and a victory for Rangers.
