Deal Agreed with Another Club and Could be a Big Blow to Philippe Clement

John Lundstram’s contract with Rangers is set to expire at the end of this season, and Philippe Clement had previously expressed Rangers’ interest in extending his contract. However, as of now, no renewal has occurred, and Trabzonspor is showing interest in signing the 30-year-old midfielder on a free transfer in the upcoming summer window.

Recent reports from Turkey suggest that Lundstram may not be satisfied with the renewal offer from Rangers and has decided to depart from Philippe Clement’s team. Trabzonspor has reportedly intensified their communication with the midfielder after receiving approval from their technical leadership to pursue the transfer.

According to Fanatik, Trabzonspor manager Abdullah Avcı has also given his consent to pursue the signing of the English midfielder in the upcoming transfer window. With an existing agreement in place for Rangers’ Borna Barišić, Trabzonspor is now focusing on securing Lundstram’s signature.

Trabzonspor’s goal is reportedly to establish a preliminary agreement with Lundstram to join them as a free agent. Lundstram has contributed two goals and seven assists in 49 appearances for Rangers this season.
