“Here we come again!” – Philippe Clement posts on social media following the Rangers boss’s disregard for the referee controversy.

Although Philippe Clement is a fairly unwavering manager who values performance, the Rangers’ success is what counts most.

This is precisely what he accomplished with his threadbare side against Hibernian at Easter Road. Benfica will be playing at Ibrox next.

Despite voicing his opinions on social networking platform X, Rangers manager Philippe Clement has not been deterred by the fake indignation.

Philippe Clement messages Rangers supporters

Since kickoff last night, that platform in particular has been quite the experience.

Supporters of the green and white team from Glasgow and Edinburgh have been complaining about how Steven McLean did everything to ensure that the Rangers won and how few decisions went in Hibs’ favor.

I must have missed the part where McLean said that it’s okay to climb all over a player’s back in the penalty area or when he tried to talk some sense into Jordan Obita when he was already on a yellow card.

Obita was fortunate, if anything, that he wasn’t dismissed sooner.

When in doubt, I always apply the Alfredo Morelos test.

If El Buffalo had shoved the rival team’s physiotherapist and an injured player off the field, would they have received a booking?

For that one, I believe we all know the answer.

The same thing applied to Nathan Moriah-Welsh; if Morelos had thrown himself into a tackle like that, we would have witnessed arguments in Holyrood.

When Rangers advanced to the Scottish Cup semifinals, Philippe Clement posted on X, choosing to disregard the rubbish with a straightforward message:

We are back into double figures in terms of missing players, so it’s amazing what the big Belgian is accomplishing.

Even the most optimistic Rangers supporters couldn’t have predicted where we are currently after watching us stutter through the preseason.

Every win is significant at this point in the season, but without Clement, we would be playing a string of meaningless games.

“Everyone is genuinely invested in what he’s attempting to accomplish. I can attest to the fact that training with him has improved me greatly and has improved me as a player in a variety of ways.

Thus, I’ve really enjoyed working with him, and I’m grateful that he’s given me these opportunities and that I’m around for training.

“It’s because of unfortunate circumstances with a few injuries, but you have to seize the chance when it presents itself, so I’m excited for Thursday now.”
