On Saturday, February 24, the Gers put on their greatest performance of the season to maintain their incredible run of play under Philippe Clement and to stay two points ahead of Celtic.

Boyd included Oscar Cortes, Cyriel Dessers, and Mohamed Diomande in his squad for The Scottish Sun [26 February]; all three players scored goals.

Along with the team, John Lundstram was awarded star man of the weekend, with influential skipper James Tavernier receiving recognized as the other recipient.

January acquisitions Diomande and Cortes gave Rangers the early advantage against Hearts, extending their outstanding starts at Ibrox.

Dessers added a couple more goals to his already impressive tally. Many would have like to see him removed before the January transfer market opened.

Although Fabio Silva scored his third goal for the Gers in eight outings, he was left off of Boyd’s squad.
