QPR fans urge transfer ahead of summer transfer window

Isaac Hayden has completed a loan spell at QPR and will return to Newcastle United this summer.

QPR fans have urged the club to re-sign Isaac Hayden, who impressed during his short loan spell at Loftus Road. Hayden appeared 17 times in the league as QPR avoided relegation and survived comfortably under Marti Cifuentes.

Hayden began the season at Standard Liege, but his loan deal with the Belgian club expired in January, prompting his move to Loftus Road. The 29-year-old will return to Newcastle United in the summer, but some R’s fans have urged the club to re-sign the midfielder for the 2024/25 season.

QPR posted pictures of Hayden and fellow loanee Joe Hodge on Instagram, with the caption: ‘BIG thanks to our two loanees. Both play critical roles in our survival. QPR fans flooded the comments section of this post, urging their club to sign the Magpies man for next year.

Hayden has not played for Newcastle United since December 2021, and he is expected to leave the club this summer. The former Hull City player has two years left on his current contract at St James’ Park. He spent last season on loan at Norwich City, but did not help the Canaries get promoted back into the top-flight.
