The current Portsmouth Town player entered the academy in 2003 when he was six years old and progressed through the levels at Fratton Park before making his first-team debut in 2014.

For Pompey’s first team, the attacking midfielder played for five years, making 122 appearances, 25 goals, and 7 assists.

Although he permanently left the team in January 2019, it is evident that Chaplin still has a great deal of affection for Pompey after 16 years of membership.

It’s wonderful to see Chaplin praising the team where he began his career, and many Portsmouth fans thanked him and wished him luck in his own promotion fight with Ipswich Town in the post’s comments.
