NBA insider Shams Charania of The Athletic reports that shooting guard Bradley Beal of the Phoenix Suns has been out since November 10 due to what the team defined as a “low back strain,” which is characterized as nerve irritation resulting from a disc condition in his back.
Beal has been recovering and stabilizing his back over the last three weeks. On December 12, the All-Star is scheduled to play the Golden State Warriors.
“It was more than a strain. I can’t give you all the details or we’d be here all day.”

This season, Beal has only made three appearances. He is shooting 39.1% from the field, 33.3% from beyond the arc, and 68.8% from the foul line while dishing out 17.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.7 assists on average.
With Beal in the starting lineup, the Suns are 1-2 and 12-10 for the season. For the first time, Beal, Devin Booker, and Kevin Durant will all be on the court at the same moment during the Warriors game.
In a huge trade that included Chris Paul and Landry Shamet this past offseason, the Suns acquired Beal from the Washington Wizards. This season, Beal is earning $46.7 million. In June 2022, the veteran agreed to a $251 million, five-year contract with the Wizards.
In an Andscape diary entry, Beal stated, “It’s very tough not having our ‘Big 3’ to start the [season].” “We all have our own aspirations of what we can become, and everyone else does too. We all take great satisfaction in being accessible and in taking good care of our bodies. Devin and I haven’t even received the best deal possible.
With the Wizards and Suns, Beal has averaged 22.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 4.3 assists in his NBA career. He was a member of one All-NBA squad and three All-Star teams.
