To complete their 2024 roster, the Eagles must to think about acquiring these three players through trade.
In 2024, the Philadelphia Eagles had very high aspirations. Thanks to general manager Howie Roseman, Philadelphia boasts a roster full with stars and seems bursting with ability. But last season, when it mattered most, the Eagles were unable to complete the task on the pitch.
The group won ten of its first eleven games, getting off to a scorching start. But in the Wild Card round, they crumbled down the stretch and were easily defeated by a mediocre Buccaneers team. From Week 13 to the end of the season, they actually had a 1-7 record.
This puts Philadelphia in a somewhat uncomfortable predicament. Without a doubt, they have one of the best rosters in the league. Jalen Hurts, their talented franchise quarterback, is committed to a long-term deal. The Eagles just need the coaching staff to pull it all together. They already have everything they need to be a regular contender in the NFC.
Going into the season, Nick Sirianni is under intense pressure. Philadelphia have to bolster considerably further in order to guarantee Sirianni would have adequate resources by 2024.
Before training camp, the Eagles ought to give serious consideration to acquiring one of these three trade options.
Houston Texans TE Brevin Jordan
The Houston Texans selected Brevin Jordan in the fifth round of the 2021 draft. Despite not putting up eye-popping stats in his first three seasons, Jordan has been a reliable player.
Given that he spent his first two seasons with a directionless Texans team, Jordan is a difficult player to evaluate as a professional. All of that was altered by CJ Stroud last season, but he had tight end Dalton Schultz to throw to.
Jordan’s rookie deal is coming to an end, and he would probably fetch a fair price. The Texans appear to have a long-term strategy at tight end, as seen by the re-signing of Schultz and the selection of Ohio State tight end Cade Stover in the draft.
The Eagles’ depth at tight end behind Dallas Goedert is in doubt, though. After his time in Cincinnati, C.J. Uzomah seems to have lost his footing, and Albert Okwuegbunam Jr. and Grant Calcaterra have not shown to be trustworthy choices.
The Eagles would have a backup tight end until 2024 and perhaps beyond if they signed Brevin Jordan. Additionally, Philly would be more inclined to use two tight end sets, something they have always liked to do.
Tennessee Titans’ Dillon Radunz, T
Many believed that the Eagles will select a right tackle with their first-round pick in 2024.At thirty-four years old, there is significant doubt over Lane Johnson’s availability after 2024.
The Eagles don’t have to find Johnson’s replacement right soon, but it would be prudent to have a reliable backup with considerable upside.
That person could be Dillon Radunz. Although it’s likely that he’ll start at right tackle for the Titans, he might be available for the right price.
Since Brian Callahan took over in Tennessee and did not draft Radunz, he might be open to parting ways with him. This is even more likely because Radunz is in the last year of his rookie deal.
Despite Radunz’s versatility as an offensive lineman in 2023, it was evident that he was most effective at right tackle, particularly when it came to run blocking. Philly would want insurance from Lane Johnson just like this.
Radunz would be a fantastic addition to the Eagles, assuming arrangements can be worked out between the two clubs.

The Eagles are secretly in desperate need of an additional inside linebacker.
Devin White and Nakobe Dean are Philadelphia’s starting lineups for the 2024 season; backups are fifth-round rookie Jeremiah Trotter Jr. and Oren Burks. On paper, this position seems manageable, but there are a few ways it may become a vulnerability for the Eagles.
Devin White is the group’s only tried-and-true player. Though he hasn’t quite lived up to his fifth overall pick status, he has been a respectable professional. That puts the Eagles’ position group one injury away from potentially being disastrous.
Let’s face it, a single player cannot resolve the issue on their own. Still, the Eagles would be wise to add more depth.
Muma has intriguing upside and is a good depth piece. In the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft, the Jaguars selected him. After a strong debut campaign, Devin Lloyd and Foyesade Oluokun took his place in the next offseason.
Muma, who still has two years left on his rookie deal, would be a valuable backup player in a desperate situation.
