DeVonta Smith, a receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles, allayed any doubts or anxieties regarding his availability for Monday’s Christmas Day game against the New York Giants. “You know me,” Smith said, “I’ll be good, I’ll be out there.” Smith hurt his knee during the opening drive of the game against the Seattle Seahawks, but he persevered and finished the game with five receptions for 50 yards. Since then, he has missed two practices this week in preparation for the game on Monday, opting instead to receive treatment for what was described as a bone bruise. On Saturday, he returned to practice and talked about the injury and his status for Monday.
