The TMZ Sports report states that the department’s internal affairs division is investigating the officers’ response and actions at the scene of the crash involving the guard and another driver, which occurred several hours after the 76ers lost to the Knicks in Game 2 of their first-round playoff series.

At 1:45 a.m. on Monday, Oubre’s 2021 Lamborghini is said to have “disregarded a red traffic signal” and collided with a 2023 Hyundai Elantra.

After the incident, both cars were towed away.

In the fourth quarter of game three of the Eastern Conference First Round Playoffs at the Wells Fargo Centre, Kelly Oubre Jr. #9 of the Philadelphia 76ers reacts after scoring past Miles McBride #2 of the New York Knicks.

After Game 3, Oubre reportedly said, “Everything is good,” as reported by USA Today.”I’m doing fine. The individuals who were involved were unharmed, but I should probably hire a driver or something to avoid driving, but other than that, everything is fine. I’m doing fine. Things are fantastic and I was still able to support my family and do my job.

The police might be investigating whether Oubre was given preferential treatment following the incident, according to TMZ.

The 28-year-old did not receive a ticket for the traffic infraction, nor was a blood or breathalyser test performed to determine whether drugs or alcohol played a role.
