Silver Bullets Podcast: OSU coaching staff changes, Jim Harbaugh’s exit, and more news

Things are going well for Ohio State as Harbaugh scrambles out of Ann Arbor ahead of the NCAA inquiry.

As January draws to a close, we have a lot to talk about on this edition of the Silver Bullets Podcast. We begin with a discussion of the month’s biggest Big Ten news: Jim Harbaugh has left Ann Arbor and will no longer be held accountable for his behavior. He’s even allowing the most likely assistant to take a portion of the penalty.

We analyze the potential fallout for Michigan following the conclusion of the NCAA probe and talk about the likelihood that Sherrone Moore may also be subject to fines and not be being given the best chance at success. Who is to say what base he thought he was born on, and which one he was really born on? We have a duty to talk and act.

We go over the coaching staff changes Ohio State has made since the season finished and talk about any potential future changes.

We discuss the coaches first, and then we go into the players. This month, Ohio State received a ton of positive news when players decided to come back for the 2024 campaign. With the exception of a handful of guys, nearly everyone who has the potential to return will. Furthermore, Columbus is set to welcome a few notable transfers.

We also discuss some of the benefits and drawbacks of Ross Bjork’s hiring as Ohio State’s new athletic director. He may have given Jimbo Fisher an absurd deal, but he’s also a man who can lead Ohio State’s fundraising efforts for NIL concerns to new heights.

Finally, it’s exciting to see so many incoming freshmen enrolling early this year—this class is great for recruiting.
