In his most recent 2024 NFL Mock Draft, CBS draft expert Chris Trapasso projects that Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., who would be reunited with Paris Johnson Jr., will be taken by the Arizona Cardinals with the No. 4 overall pick.

In his most recent 2024 NFL Mock Draft, CBS draft expert Chris Trapasso projects that the Arizona Cardinals will select Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. with the fourth overall pick. Harrison would now be reunited with offensive tackle Paris Johnson Jr., a former teammate from OSU who the Cardinals selected with the sixth overall pick in the previous draft.

Trapasso wrote the following about Harrison:

WHAT HAPPENED TO NICK TRAPASSO? - Jenkem Magazine

“The Cardinals are absolutely thrilled to land Harrison Jr. to give the receiver group a jolt for Kyler Murray.”

Quarterbacks are expected to be the first three players selected, according to Trapasso. He predicts that the Washington Commanders will select North Carolina’s Drake Maye, the New England Patriots will select LSU’s Jayden Daniels, the winner of the Heisman Trophy, and the Chicago Bears will select Caleb Williams from USC with the first overall pick (and trade Justin Fields, more on that later).

It’s safe to believe the Bears will demand a first-round pick in return if they decide to move Fields. Trapasso disagrees with that evaluation, though. He envisions the specifics of the exchange looking like this:

From the Bears’ point of view, that appears light, but who knows. Naturally, there is no guarantee that Fields will be traded by the Bears. Williams is a somewhat divisive player, and his combine measures should be interesting to watch. Is he indeed six foot one? Or does he stand no more than six feet tall? It’s an inch-based game, and NFL organizations care about that kind of thing.

There are no other Buckeyes predicted to make it past the first round, including Harrison. In fact, many observers wonder if any Ohio State players will be taken on the second day (rounds 2-3), even if Trapasso’s mock only covers the first round. This is what occurs when a large number of exceptionally gifted seniors return to college for their final year, and that is precisely what has happened at OSU since the 2023 season concluded. Fans of the Buckeyes will undoubtedly exchange a poor draft year for an outstanding 2024 campaign.
