BREAKING NEWS:The New York Rangers have recalled Dylan Garand from Hartford….

Garand, the Rangers’ 2020 fourth-round pick, spent the entire season with the Wolf Pack.

The New York Rangers have recalled goalkeeper Dylan Garand from Hartford, the team announced Thursday.

Garand, the Rangers’ 2020 fourth-round pick, is in his second full season after becoming pro. This season, he went 16-17-5 in 39 regular-season games, with a 3.03 GAA and.898 SV%.

Garand has also appeared in seven playoff games, recording a 5-2 record with a 2.32 GAA and a.931 save percentage.

While the Wolf Pack are currently playing the Hershey Bears in the third round of the Calder Cup Playoffs, it appears like they will have to try to even the series sans Garand.

While he has put up solid numbers during the regular season in recent years, Garand appears to be finally turning a corner in his development.

Garand, a dominating goalie in junior hockey, has previously proved his ability to take over games. While Garand is unlikely to make his NHL debut, being around Igor Shesterkin and Jonathan Quick will only help him in the future.
