Giants re-sign Casey Kreiter, a long snapper

The New York Giants are close to finalizing a deal to retain long-snapper Casey Kreiter, although the specifics of the contract remain undisclosed, it’s believed to be for a duration of one year. Kreiter, aged 33, boasts a seven-year tenure in the NFL, commencing his professional journey as an undrafted free agent with the Dallas Cowboys back in 2014. Despite his efforts, he failed to secure a spot on the Cowboys’ 53-man roster and subsequently moved to the Denver Broncos after two seasons, where he played from 2016 to 2019. His standout performance in 2018 earned him his sole Pro Bowl accolade thus far. Since 2020, Kreiter has been a part of the Giants, consistently signing one-year contracts, a tradition he started during his time with Denver. In the previous season, Kreiter showcased one of his most impressive performances as a Giant, achieving a career-high in tackles with four and ensuring each snap was executed with precision. While the financial details of Kreiter’s new agreement are undisclosed, it’s worth noting that his previous one-year contract, signed last off-season, was valued at $1.317 million, inclusive of a $152,500 signing bonus and $352,500 guaranteed.
