Done Deal: Meet MK Dons’ Latest Signing Who Brings Valuable Experience to the Team.

Signing: Lemonheigh-Evans - News - Notts County FC

Connor Lemonheigh-Evans brings valuable experience in winning League Two, a feat he achieved with Stockport County last season. The 27-year-old Welsh midfielder, now MK Dons’ latest signing, departed from the title-winning Hatters. However, his transition carries some controversy as he spent the initial part of the season on loan with AFC Wimbledon, bridging a notable gap between rival teams.

While contributing 17 appearances for Wimbledon, Lemonheigh-Evans truly made his mark upon returning to Stockport, scoring six goals in 24 games, including a memorable strike in their decisive victory over Dons. He describes himself as a diligent midfielder, versatile enough to play various attacking positions.

Originally from Swansea, Lemonheigh-Evans began his career at Bristol City, where he made a solitary FA Cup appearance. Subsequently, he embarked on loan stints with Bath City before a substantial tenure at Torquay United, aiding in their promotion from the National League South. His permanent move to Plainmoor in August 2020 saw him flourish, netting 22 goals over two seasons and forging a partnership with current Dons teammate Stephen Wearne.

Following his successful spell at Torquay, Lemonheigh-Evans joined newly promoted Stockport County, where he made 30 League Two appearances before another loan stint, this time with Notts County, aiding in their return to the EFL in 2023.

With a total of 234 appearances and 39 goals to his name so far, Lemonheigh-Evans brings a wealth of experience to MK Dons.
