Vikings injury report: Harrison Smith limited again Thursday

Vikings safety Harrison Smith was once again limited during the team’s practice Thursday due to a shoulder injury.

Smith could potentially be playing the final game of his 12-year career in this Sunday’s regular-season finale at Detroit. The 34-year-old hasn’t missed a game this season and has been on the field for 99% of Minnesota’s defensive snaps.

Starting left tackle Christian Darrisaw popped up on the team’s injury report with an illness that kept him out of practice. Also listed as unable to practice Thursday was rookie cornerback Mekhi Blackmon (shoulder), who was downgraded after being a limited participant Wednesday.

Minnesota’s top corner, Byron Murphy Jr., still remains unable to practice ahead of Sunday’s game due to a knee injury that has held him out of the previous two games.

Starting right tackle Brian O’Neill (ankle), defensive lineman Jaquelin Roy (ankle) and wide receiver Jalen Nailor (concussion) were all listed as not practicing for the second consecutive day.

Ed Ingram, the team’s starting right guard, was once again limited Thursday due to a shoulder injury he sustained in the team’s loss to Green Bay Sunday.

Safety Theo Jackson (toe) and tight end Nick Muse (knee) were limited again Thursday, as well.

As for the Lions, two of their starting linemen did not practice Thursday in center Frank Ragnow (knee/back/toe) and guard Graham Glasgow (rest).

Starting left tackle Taylor Decker (groin) was upgraded to a full participant Thursday after missing Wednesday’s practice.

Receiver Jameson Williams (ankle/illness) was unable to practice for the second consecutive day. Defensive tackle Benito Jones (illness) and tight end Brock Wright (hip) were also unable to participate Thursday.

Rookie tight end Sam LaPorta was once again a limited participant due to an ankle injury, while linebacker James Houston (ankle) and defensive tackle Alim McNeill (knee) continue to work back from injured reserve.

Cornerback Cam Sutton (toe) was a full participant with an injury designation. Fellow corner C.J. Gardner-Johnson (pectoral) was a full participant while he nears a return off the injured reserve list.
