Delay to Millwall transfer
Tottenham Hotspur defender Japhet Tanganga might delay his return to Millwall this summer to consider all his options, according to a new report.
The 25-year-old impressed during his 18 appearances for Millwall towards the end of last season, scoring a couple of crucial goals and bolstering the defense. Despite being on the fringes at Spurs, it was widely expected that Tanganga would return to Millwall this summer.
However, even though a permanent transfer has reportedly been agreed between the two clubs, Spurs expert John Wenham suggests that Tanganga is taking his time to confirm the move. He told Tottenham News: “I think Tanganga will hold out on the move. His agent will be informing other clubs of the fee agreed with Millwall to see if anyone else is interested in matching it.
“I expect this to take a while, but Tanganga will be reassured knowing he has that option. I think Millwall will remain calm. He was outstanding for them, and I am sure they’ll give him some time to think it over.”
Watford confirm academy appointments
Watford have confirmed a series of new coaching appointments in the club’s academy system with some faces very familiar to Hornets’ supporters.
As the outfit prepared for a new season, it has been confirmed that club legend Lloyd Doyley will return as under-18 assistant coach to work alongside new under-18 Lead Coach Matt Bevans, who most recently worked as interim head coach with Watford FC Women.
Another fellow first team star, Dan Gosling, has taken up the role as under-21 assistant coach to work alongside former Bournemouth colleague Charlie Daniels.
Leeds United set Summerville price tag
Leeds United could look to cash in on star man Crysencio Summerville this summer with a price tag set on the forward, rather than fight against growing Premier League interest.
