Lilywhite Rose predicts ‘bonus payments’ to be offered to rush through sale of Tottenham player

John Wenham believes Japhet Tanganga’s Tottenham exit could be “rushed through” after transfer news at Millwall.

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose previously revealed that Ipswich Town could rival the Lions for Tanganga.

However, according to Alan Nixon, writing via his Patreon (19 May), Millwall are braced for interest in Zian Flemming and could accept a bid of around £5million.

And Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes this money could be put toward signing Tanganga.

“I had previously suggested that Tanganga might be holding out on the Millwall move,” Wenham said.

“But I have noticed reports that Flemming could be sold for a fee of around £5million.

“If that were to happen, then I could see Tanganga’s exit being rushed through. Whatever is holding up the deal could be quickly sorted out with bonus payments to Tanganga.

“Therefore, if Flemming goes, then I think the Tanganga deal will be sorted pretty quickly.”

Millwall could use their cash boost to lure Tottenham defender Japhet Tanganga

Tanganga made a big impact on loan at the Den.

It is therefore no surprise that Millwall were quick to agree on a deal with Spurs for the defender.

Japhet Tanganga could join Millwall from Tottenham this summer.

Things haven’t progressed since, but if the Lions were to suddenly come across an influx of cash, it isn’t hard to imagine that personal terms with Tanganga might soon be agreed.
