How to follow Ole Miss basketball in tonight’s ACC/SEC Challenge game: watch, listen, and follow
Ole Miss takes on NC State in its toughest game of the early 2023–24 season tonight. Here are some updated statistics and useful details for game day.
This is the week that the Ole Miss men’s basketball team’s competition really heats up. As part of the ACC/SEC Challenge series this season, the Rebels’ first game is tonight against the NC State Wolfpack.
With four players averaging double figures, the Wolfpack’s offense—which has averaged 82.6 points per game through five games—is among the best in the nation. On defense, despite a few shootouts, they have a turnover margin of +7.8 and average about nine thefts per game.Though it’s a little early, ESPN’s Joe Lunardi currently has the Wolfpack just on the NCAA Tournament bubble.
Ole Miss, meanwhile, is barely outside the AP Top-25 after starting 5-0 for the second straight season. With a number of new players joining those that remained from the previous season, the Rebels have continued to work out the kinks on both sides of the court through the first month of the 2023–24 campaign. During this procedure, they have managed to avoid a few near-misses. Ole Miss won its next three games on the last possession against Detroit, Sam Houston, and most recently against Temple, all within three points or less, after pulling away from Alabama State and Eastern Washington. With 20.2 points per game, 7.2 rebounds per game, and 1.8 steals per game, Allen Flanigan is currently among the SEC leaders in these categories.
Here are some updated statistics and possibly useful details on game day.
