Due to a quad injury, the Grizzlies big man has missed the last two games.

This season, the Memphis Grizzlies have struggled with injuries. They have one of the NBA’s longest injury reports, and in order to field a roster, they have required some of their rookies and players on two-way contracts to play significant minutes.

However, as the season comes to an end, players are making their way back into the starting lineup bit by bit. According to Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal, the Grizzlies should also welcome back Jaren Jackson Jr. from a quad injury on Saturday in addition to Desmond Bane.

Due to a quad injury, Jaren Jackson Jr. has missed the Grizzlies’ last two games. Jackson has been one of the Grizzlies’ more comparatively healthy players despite the team’s injury problems. This season, he has appeared in 57 games, averaging precisely 32 minutes a night. Plus, he’s having one of his best seasons right now.

With career-high averages of 22.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.6 blocked shots per game, Jackson was shooting 44.4 percent from the field, 32.6 percent from three point range, and 80.9 percent from the free throw line.

Jackson, the fourth overall selection in the 2018 NBA Draft, has developed into one of the league’s top defensive defenders. During the offseason, he experienced a difficult game when playing for Team USA in their poor FIBA World Cup performance.

When healthy and prepared to compete for the playoffs, Jackson is expected to be a key player for the Grizzlies in the upcoming campaign.
