Sources: With a new move, the 27-year-old Tottenham player is ready to “put himself in shop window.”

According to sources who spoke to Football Insider, there’s a good chance that rumored Brentford target Sergio Reguilon will return to Tottenham on loan during the January transfer window.

Following the termination of his short-term stay at Manchester United, Reguilon, 27, returned to Spurs earlier this month.

A possible bid for the left-back has been strongly suggested by fellow London team Brentford due to significant injuries in Thomas Frank’s team.

Reguilon is rumored to be eligible for another loan spell from Tottenham in the second half of the 2023–24 season.

The Lilywhites believe the Spaniard might put himself in the “shop window” by moving abroad, an informed source has told Football Insider.

Reguilon cannot play for Ange Postecoglou’s team this season if he is sent out on loan once more. He has not been included in any matchday squads since returning to Tottenham.

During the first part of the season, he made just 12 appearances for Man United after being brought on as an emergency backup for Tyrell Malacia and Luke Shaw.

The Spain international played just 12 games while on loan at Atletico Madrid during the 2022–2023 season due to a number of injuries.

Reguilon joined Spurs in 2020 after leaving Real Madrid, and his contract with the team runs until June 2025.

After Rico Henry and Aaron Hickey suffered injuries, Brentford is eager to sign a new left-back.

Left-back Tottenham, who now occupy the fifth spot in the Premier League standings, has seen success with Destiny Udogie.

After dropping their past five games, Brentford is currently in 16th place, only three points above the relegation zone.
