This weekend, Manchester United takes on Tottenham, and one man who is well-versed in this matchup is Dimitar Berbatov.

Naturally, Berbatov has affection for both teams, and in an interview with The Mirror, he was asked to forecast the result of this weekend’s match.
When given the option to select between his two former teams, Berbatov has, intriguingly, selected Manchester United to defeat Spurs 1-0.
Berbatov predicts United to win
The former striker offered his assessment of the outcome of this match.
It’s going to be difficult, dude. I want both teams to go to the top four. I also want Spurs to eventually win a trophy, and I want United to win the Premier League title—it’s been so long. Although I may be a little biased, I think United will prevail because they are playing at Old Trafford and they need the points. With just a goal differential, they may win 1-0 or something similar, according to Berbatov.

We can see Berbatov’s reasoning for believing United will prevail. Even though Old Trafford is never an easy place to visit, we don’t think this one will end in a 1-0 score.
Tottenham is one of the league’s most offensive teams, and United has recently struggled defensively, giving up nine goals in their last five league games.
Although United might win this one, a high-scoring match is likely to ensue if the Red Devils are to prevail.
It’s difficult to envision Tottenham traveling to Old Trafford without scoring.
