Brian Brobbery, the front man for Ajax, is being considered by Manchester United. He turned down a transfer to Old Trafford in order to return to Ajax in the summer.

Manchester United is interested in Dutch international Brian Brobbey. However, the striker has said that he previously turned down a huge offer to move to Old Trafford in order to return to Ajax.

21-year-old Brobbey is having a great time back in Amsterdam following a terrible stint with RB Leipzig in Germany. However, he has stated that after the Bundesliga team stated they would consider offers for the player in the summer of 2022, Erik ten Hag, the manager of the Reds, sought to bring him to United.

The attacker was first granted permission by the Bundesliga team to return to Ajax on loan in January of the previous year. After determining the player was surplus to requirements, United was prepared to pay Leipzig’s £16 million asking price for him; nevertheless, Brobbey chose to choose pleasure over financial gain.

Ten Hag is reportedly still keeping an eye on the strong forward as he tries to improve his underperforming squad’s score, and this time he might finally have his man.

“My agent would receive millions of euros at United, and I could make multiples of my Ajax salary,” Brobbey stated over the phone from Erik ten Hag. But our decision was clear: we wanted to go to Ajax.

“I insisted on going back to Ajax, even though Manchester United wanted to have me.” My agent Jose Fortes Rodriguez even surrendered a sizable portion of the sell-on clause to make that happen.”

Even though Brobbey is rejoining an Ajax club that has had difficulty all season, he is anticipated to lead Holland’s strike force at the Euros. When Ten Hag managed the Eredivisie team at Ajax, he gave him his Ajax debut. However, Brobbey relocated to Leipzig after his contract ended in the summer of 2021.

Brian Brobbey has worked under Erik ten Hag previously

Brian Brobbey was previously employed by Erik ten Hag.

It was a grave error. “Ajax assured me that no new striker would be added, and then all of a sudden there was Sebastien Haller, the most expensive acquisition ever,” he remarked. It didn’t even bother me all that much. But I was upset to hear that I would essentially not be able to play.

Then, Julian Nagelsmann’s story was so compelling that, to be honest, I believed I would play a part in Leipzig. Nagelsmann and Markus Krosche, the technical director who had hired me, had left the team even before the season began.

But the opportunity to relocate to United and reunite with Ten Hag might attract Brobbey.
