Altay Bayindir declares his intention to win at Old Trafford, saying, “We are fighting.”

In an open interview covering a variety of topics at his new team, Altay Bayindir disclosed how his Manchester United teammates are all “fighting” for the squad.

Speaking to the club’s official site, Bayindir asserts that his “positive” relationships with Andre Onana and Tom Heaton, two other goalkeepers, are essential to helping whoever is chosen to start between the sticks.

“Every goalie has a really lovely persona. We never lose hope. Everyone wants to play with the squad in the stadium, so naturally, we are battling [to get] on the field. But our energy is positive. Whoever is playing doesn’t matter since we will always support them, of course.

“You know, team spirit is really crucial. It is crucial that we follow this strategy if we want to succeed in the game. We can always improve if we keep doing it, in my opinion.

The Turkish international claims that he and Heaton have “very good communication,” with each player “fighting [to be the best] in…training” and continuing to be “best friends” outside of the game.

Even off the training field, Bayindir admits the three are inseparable: “We are always together when we go out to eat.” It’s excellent. We shall maintain this sentiment as we are a large family.

But according to the goalkeeper, this optimism extends beyond the game’s winners at Old Trafford. “It’s not only about stoppers. Every player has a good heart, and we never stop fighting for this amazing family.

After moving for £4.3 million from Fenerbahce in the summer, he hasn’t played a minute for his new team, but by the end of the month, that might all change.

This season, Onana has played every minute of every game for Erik ten Hag’s team, making him a constant in the lineup.

The goalkeeper, who moved from Inter Milan a month before Bayindir, took David De Gea’s spot at Old Trafford as the number one (despite sporting the odd number twenty-four shirt).

But now, the 27-year-old has left Manchester to play for Cameroon in the African Cup of Nations.

At the very least, Onana will be unable to play in the FA Cup fourth round fixture against Newport County if the Indomitable Lions advance to the tournament’s knockout round in it.

As a result, on Sunday, January 28, Bayindir might make his United shirt debut in place of the Cameroonian.

With a little of encouragement from his mother, it will be a dream come true for a player who has wanted to be a goalie since he was a young lad.
