Eighteen-year-old Kayibanda, a center-half, joined Luton at U13 level. This season, he played for the U18s in the FA Youth Cup, where the team was defeated 2-0 by Swindon Town U18s in the third round. He also played for the U21s, contributing to a 2-1 victory at Fulham U21s and scoring in a 3-1 win against Norwich City U21s.

Attacking midfielder Lorentzen-Jones, 17, has been with Luton since he was seven. He also participated in the cup loss to Swindon and played for the U21s. Meanwhile, right-back Tyrell Giwa, who joined as an U12, has had his scholarship extended for a third year.

Additionally, Luton has offered first-year scholarships to nine of their U16 players. Among them is Christian Chigozie, who was named on the bench for the first team in the Premier League against both Arsenal and Manchester City this season. The other recipients are Archie Shepherd, Benedict Benagr, Charlie Booth, Harry Fox, Kyron Roberts-Edema, Leon Routh, Lucas Thomas, and Samuel Hincapie Alfonso.

The club also announced that Will Houghton, Max Scott, and Marcus Warren will be leaving the academy at the end of their scholarships. A club statement read: “We thank all of the players who are leaving us for their service to the Club at all levels, and wish them the very best for their future careers.”
