NBA Rumors: The Milwaukee Bucks Admire the Clippers Veteran with a “Healthy Level of Admiration”

Milwaukee Bucks Looking for Some Reinforcement

The Los Angeles Clippers veteran PJ Tucker, who incidentally was a crucial cog for Milwaukee during their 2021 title run, is one player who has been rumored to be on their radar.

The Bucks are interested, per a recent report by NBA Insider Marc Stein. As part of the historic James Harden trade, Tucker recently joined the Clippers, and Stein observed that Milwaukee has a “healthy level of admiration” for him.

This season, Tucker won’t save Milwaukee, and his potential arrival doesn’t ensure a title. Tucker, though, might be a valuable veteran addition to the Bucks as they aim to win the whole season given what he brings to the table.

The 38-year-old is no longer in the starting lineup, and it doesn’t appear that he will soon leave coach Tyronn Lue’s doghouse.

“I am aware of my value. I am aware of my contributions. I’m aware of what I brought. In a recent interview, Tucker said to Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints, “I know what I can continue to bring.” And along with that, I hope to be able to find a good team that I can contribute to. It’s sort of prioritized simultaneously and has a part, in my opinion. And when you know you can play that role and have played that role on championship level teams, not just winning championships, but teams that have a chance to win a championship over the last seven years, eight years. Thus, yes.

The bad news for Milwaukee, though, is that there will probably be fierce competition for Tucker’s services if he suddenly becomes available. The Bucks are unlikely to have an easy road to a possible reunion with the 6-foot-5 forward.
