VERBALLY CONSENTING A former Manchester United player is expected to sign a contract and remain at Liverpool.

Liverpool plans to tie down a gifted young player and ward off interest from rival teams.

Right now, the Reds’ academy graduates are having a lot of success. This season, players like Conor Bradley and Jarell Quansah have demonstrated that it is feasible to advance to the Liverpool senior team if you possess the necessary talent.

Kieran Morrison, an aggressive midfielder, is among those hoping to do that soon.

Morrison, 17, hasn’t played for the first team yet, but he’s been doing well with the U18s this year. In 11 games, five goals and three assists is an excellent total.

Furthermore, despite interest from other teams, the Northern Irishman is expected to sign a new contract with the Reds, as reported by journalist Fabricio Romano on X.

“Despite being linked to a move away last summer, Liverpool talent Kieran Morrison is set to sign a new three-year contract at the club,” reports Romano. “2006-born midfielder has verbally agreed to a new contract; documents will be reviewed shortly, and announcement will follow.”

Morrison is expected to sign a new contract.

There must be some enthusiasm for Morrison’s potential if Liverpool is willing to extend their contract to him.

Regarding the first team, we haven’t heard anything substantial regarding the teenager up to this point. He hasn’t exactly proven himself worthy of a call-up to train with Jurgen Klopp.

However, if he continues in the same manner, maybe that recognition won’t be too far off.

As per his player profile on liverpoolfc.com, Morrison is a former Manchester United youth teamer. Described as a ‘creative and dynamic central midfield player,’ he was supposedly with United up until U14 level.

Morrison was then signed by Liverpool, and he has been moving up the ranks ever since. The former United prospect, who turns 17 in November, has already participated in games with the U21s this year. It’s obvious he has something.

Morrison appears to be attracting interest from other places, so perhaps Liverpool has promised him that he will continue to climb quickly.

However, it appears improbable that an opportunity with the seniors will now come this season, given the way the campaign is unfolding.

But Morrison may be someone to watch in 2024–2025 under the new boss.
