Jordan Henderson recently returned to Liverpool’s AXA Training Centre, despite having joined Ajax in January. Henderson, who departed Liverpool amid a tumultuous period, had a brief stint at Saudi Arabian club Al-Ettifaq before terminating his contract and moving to Ajax.
However, his time at Ajax has been plagued by poor performance, with the team only managing one win in nine matches. Despite being absent from their recent 6-0 loss to Feyenoord due to injury, Henderson has been undergoing rehabilitation away from Amsterdam, including intense fitness sessions at Liverpool’s training facility.
While there’s no possibility of him returning to Liverpool, there are rumors of him reuniting with former coaches at Ajax, especially if Pepijn Lijnders takes over as manager, with whom Henderson shares a connection. Lijnders had played a role in Henderson’s move to Ajax and is being considered by other clubs like Besiktas for managerial positions.
