Liverpool talks with ‘perfect’ manager now on hold despite negotiations

Before Jurgen Klopp leaves his position as manager of Anfield this summer, Liverpool is currently looking for a new manager.

The rumors surrounding the Reds and a specific manager have greatly increased over the last few days.

The manager in question is Arne Slot, the head coach of Feyenoord, who is reportedly in talks with Liverpool to take Klopp’s place.

TBR Football sources earlier today stated that the Reds are currently in negotiations with the Dutch team regarding their manager, who is eager to move.

The report also stated that Liverpool is still in talks with other coaches and hasn’t ruled out other candidates.

What does that mean for Ruben Amorim, the former front-runner for Liverpool?

What’s new regarding Ruben Amorim and Liverpool?
“Everything is on hold” between the Sporting Lisbon manager and the Reds, according to Rudy Galetti. Even though the negotiations had hit a “key stage” earlier, this is the case.

Amorim has also reportedly had talks with West Ham, but he isn’t persuaded by the idea of playing for the Hammers.

In light of this, Galetti reported on X that the Portuguese coach is becoming more and more likely to remain at Sporting, especially if they win the Primeira Liga.

TBR View Amorim is undoubtedly a strong candidate for Liverpool; he has been called the “ideal” successor to Klopp (Nigel Reo-Coker on CBS).

But Slot checks a lot of boxes for the Reds as well, and it would be fantastic to have him take Klopp’s place.

No doubt Michael Edwards and FSG have done their homework and will select the most qualified candidate for the position, whoever ends up in charge.
