The fifth-year options of running back Travis Etienne and quarterback Trevor Lawrence will be exercised by the Jacksonville Jaguars. The much-awaited trades of the two 2021 first-round draft picks were confirmed on Saturday by general manager Trent Baalke. The top overall pick in that draft, Lawrence, is guaranteed $25.7 million in 2025, while his former teammate Etienne, who was selected 25th, is owed $6.1 million under his option. The 24-year-old Lawrence, who is 20–30 as a starter and qualified for the Pro Bowl in 2022, has passed for 11,770 yards with 58 touchdowns and 39 interceptions in three seasons. With 11 touchdowns, he has 964 yards of rushes. Due to a foot injury, Etienne, 25, missed his rookie season in 2021. Nevertheless, he has since returned with two seasons of 1,000 yards rushing. In 34 games (29 starts), he has accumulated 2,925 yards from scrimmage and 17 touchdowns. –Media at the Field Level
