Surprise report asserts Moyes is now giving signing a 24-year-old left-back in January priority.

Leif Davis, a gifted left-back from Ipswich Town, is allegedly a target for West Ham United in January.

It is imperative that David Moyes brings in a fresh left-back to West Ham in order to rival Emerson Palmieri and cover for him.

The Hammers boss will undoubtedly find it difficult to accomplish that during the January transfer window, but it looks like there might be a chance for him.

The Football League Paper (print edition, January 21, page 8) reports that Moyes may now attempt to move Leif Davis from Portman Road to the London Stadium for the upcoming winter season.

The West Ham manager may be giving priority to signing a left-back this winter, according to reports.

Although it’s questionable if that’s the case in reality, Davis would be a very helpful addition to Moyes’s team.

Moyes’s team needs to be strengthened in a lot of areas, especially the defensive midfield, center back, right back, and center forward positions.

In light of this, it is quite unexpected that the Scot would be giving priority on bolstering a different part of his team.

This season, in 24 Championship games for the Ipswich team, Davis has racked up a very good 10 assists. The 24-year-old has averaged 1.8 tackles and 1.1 interceptions per game over those appearances (Who Scored).

He has a great deal of power and speed in addition to remarkable technical skill. Additionally, he is six feet tall, which will definitely appeal to Moyes.

Leif Davis is a terrific player, and I believe he would blend in perfectly in the London Stadium.

But I’m not sure West Ham should make acquiring the left-back their top priority during the January transfer window. But as I already stated, I wouldn’t be opposed to Davis joining the Hammers for the upcoming season.
