Sunderland will already be envious of the Ipswich Town player.

Kieffer Moore made his Tractor Boys debut with a brace, making an instant impression on his new team, Suffolk Town.

Despite having only joined the team two days before the match on Saturday, Moore altered the game for his new team at halftime with Ipswich trailing 3-0 against Preston, even though his team lost 3-2 on the road.

In the 75th and 87th minutes, he scored, almost pulling off a stunning comeback to keep his team in the running for automatic promotion.

According to the Bournemouth Daily Echo, Moore had plenty of suitors in January, including Cardiff City, Leeds United, West Brom, Middlesbrough, Birmingham City, and Sunderland. All of these teams were eager to take the midfielder on loan from Bournemouth.

Much to the dismay of the club’s supporters, Sunderland was in the running for Moore but was not successful in landing him.

Enviously, Sunderland will be observing Kieffer Moore’s Ipswich debut.

Kieffer Moore is exactly the kind of player Sunderland has been begging for, and the club’s inability to get him in January may have cost them a play-off spot.

The Welshman may have made a difference, but only to that extent.

Moore has a great physical presence at 6’5″ and can intimidate opponents in the Championship. His first Ipswich goal demonstrated his skill in the air as he outjumped his opponent to get home.

Although the 31-year-old may not have the sell-on value Sunderland looks for in a new signing, the Bournemouth player would have been perfect as a short-term loan alternative.

Moore has demonstrated throughout his tenures at Wigan, Cardiff, and Bournemouth that he is a capable goal scorer at this level. In addition, the Welshman appears to be improving with age despite being on the wrong side of thirty. He spent his early career playing lower-league football and has just recently established himself at the Championship level.

Because of his unorthodox path to the top of the game, he has attributes that Sunderland’s current attackers lack. Although the attackers for Sunderland are young players acquired from European leagues or on loan from the Premier League, Moore is a more conventional striker from the Championship; he is big, strong, and capable of finding the back of the net.

Although Ipswich has struggled lately, it wouldn’t be shocking if they started to turn things around in the upcoming days given that Moore will likely have a significant influence at Portman Road.

Sunderland would have had a more potent offensive if Kieffer Moore had played.

A handful of summer acquisitions by the Black Cats in attacking positions have all pretended to be false.
Despite joining the team in the summer, Naz Rusyn, Mason Burstow, Luís Semedo, and Eliezer Mayenda have all had difficulty scoring goals.

While Burstow was brought in on a loan from Chelsea, the other players were brought in on a permanent basis because the club thought they could develop under their leadership and then be traded for more money.

Although Sunderland’s transfer plan is a wonderful idea, it’s crucial to have experienced players to guide the younger players and produce results right away on the field.

Jack Clarke, a winger, has been Sunderland’s main offensive weapon this year. Dan Neil, the club’s second-highest goalscorer with four goals, has nine fewer goals than him with 13 goals.

In order to relieve Clarke of the burden of producing goals, Sunderland should have done a lot better in January by bringing Kieffer Moore in. Now, the Black Cats will have to watch with envy as Moore unavoidably scores goals for Ipswich.
