Ngankam, a 23-year-old former German U21 international, signed with Die Adler in the summer but hasn’t scored for the Bundesliga team, sparking rumors that he would leave on loan before Thursday’s deadline.

Ngankam, who was born in Berlin, began his professional career with his hometown team Hertha. He later played on loan for Greuther Fürth, returned to Hertha, and signed a contract with Eintract Frankfurt that would last until 2028.

Nevertheless, the striker’s stay hasn’t started out too well—he hasn’t scored in three starts and sixteen substitute appearances this season.
