Ipswich appears to be looking for forward reinforcements, even though they have already signed Jeremy Sarmiento and Lewis Travis on loan from Brighton and Blackburn Rovers, respectively. Football League World examines all of the most recent Ipswich Town transfer news today.
Kieffer Moore
The Bournemouth striker has been the subject of interest from a number of Championship teams, including Suffolk, but it looks that the Tractor Boys have made an aggressive move. Ipswich has made a loan offer for the 31-year-old, according to The Athletic, but Bournemouth and I have not yet reached an agreement on a deal.
Moore would not be wearing the blue and white of Ipswich Town for the first time; in the 2016–17 season, he made 11 appearances but was unable to score. However, he has subsequently shown to be a potent goal scorer at this level and is currently a member of Bournemouth’s Premier League team.
Moore has played in just seven Premier League games this year, all of them as substitutes, therefore it appears that a loan to a lower division is on the horizon. Moore would be much welcomed at Portman Road, especially with Ipswich’s George Hirst sidelined for an extended period of time due to injury.
Ipswich in contact with Marvin Johnson
The Star has reported that Ipswich is very interested in Marvin Johnson of Sheffield Wednesday. The 33-year-old played a significant role in the Owls’ victory in the previous campaign, grabbing 14 assists in all competitions to help his team get promoted out of League One.
Johnson was virtually ignored at the beginning of the season, but under Danny Rohl’s direction, he has earned a starting position in the team and can be used as a left back or left flank. In his last five league games for Sheffield Wednesday, he has two goals and two assists. As a result, promotion-hopeful Ipswich is now showing interest in him.
Alex Crook announced on Thursday morning that Sheffield Wednesday is trying to hold onto one of its most important assets, and that Ipswich had rejected their first offer of £1 million. It might take more than just an increased offer for the Tractor Boys to convince the Owls to sell.
Axel Tuanzebe update
Axel Tuanzebe, the defender for Ipswich, is being discussed by a number of Championship teams, including Cardiff City, who are quite interested, according to information released by Sky Sports on Wednesday. The 26-year-old wants to be playing football on a regular basis because he has only made five league starts for Ipswich this season.
Tuanzebe is unquestionably a capable defender at this level, but his health could be an issue. For everyone involved, it would be an incredible signing if Cardiff can keep him fit. In addition, Ipswich may try to offload him during the current transfer window as his contract expires at the end of the current campaign.
