GENTLE Blackburn Rovers Are Not Likely To Adopt A New Approach Towards Ipswich Town Goal

The East Anglian Daily Times reports that Blackburn Rovers’ decision to hold onto Sam Gallagher, an Ipswich Town target, is unlikely to change given Duncan McGuire’s imminent arrival.

Throughout the winter, Kieran McKenna has been itching to take Gallagher to Portman Road for Ipswich.

Ali Al-Hamadi from AFC Wimbledon was recently acquired by the Blues, but the Ipswich manager still hopes to add one more striker before Thursday’s deadline.

At first, Blackburn was open to talks, and Ipswich even put up a £2 million offer, but Rovers decided against selling Gallagher.

Although they are about to sign McGuire from Orlando City, the 28-year-old’s future is not expected to be affected by this.

Despite Ipswich’s interest in signing the forward, Blackburn plans to cling onto him.

Gallagher is expected to stay at Blackburn beyond Thursday’s transfer deadline, having scored 47 goals in 217 games for the team.

If Ipswich wants to add one more striker in the next 24 hours, they will need to consider alternative options.
