Before the transfer window closes, AFC Wimbledon striker Ali Al-Hamadi is expected to sign with Ipswich Town in an effort to bolster their already potent assault.

Under manager Keiran McKenna, Ipswich has had an incredible start to the season. The Tractor Boys have impressed since being promoted to the Championship.

As they look to become one of the most unexpected teams in the league thus far and make their first appearance in the Premier League since the early 2000s, the club has been one of the most surprising teams in the league thanks to a dynamic front four that helped them finish second in the Championship and among the top scorers in the division.

Ali Al-Hamadi, a League Two striker, is allegedly expected to join the team before the transfer window closes. However, an injury to main striker George Hirst has prompted them to enter the transfer market.

Al-Hamadi’s £1 million move to Ipswich is almost complete.

Al-Hamadi of Wimbledon is apparently getting close to moving from League Two to the top two spots in the Championship, with plans to join Ipswich.

According to journalist Stuart Watson, the Championship club is about to finalize a £1 million deal for the Iraqi international.

The Wombles might benefit greatly from this deal and be able to maintain a sustainable team for many years to come. This would make Al-Hamadi’s transfer the highest fee they have ever received for a player.

In addition to scoring three goals for Iraq in his 11 career international appearances, the striker has also netted 13 goals for Wimbledon this season in the league.

His six assists for the team will also persuade McKenna to seal the deal for the striker because of his ability to create opportunities for other attackers, such as Wes Burns and Nathan Broadhead, to score additional goals for Ipswich.

Ipswich finds him to be an intriguing proposition because of his international experience, which is one of the reasons they are willing to shell out an alleged £1 million for the RELATED

Ipswich Town is interested in acquiring Blackburn Rovers striker Sam Gallagher, and a new development has surfaced.
Al-Hamadi will have to take Hirst’s place.

Since Hirst’s potentially season-ending injury, Ipswich has struggled both offensively and defensively in the four games played.

They are unable to compete with teams that are playing well, such as Southampton and Leeds United, as they have only managed three goals in five games and three draws (two of which were 0-0 ties).

They are now only one point ahead of the Saints in third place, and if they are to continue their strong push for promotion into the second half of the season, they will need to put up more firepower. Al-Hamadi might be the man for the job.

This season, he has already demonstrated his ability for Wimbledon in the Championship, tallying 13 goals and dishing out six assists for Johnnie Jackson’s team.

For any player, moving up two divisions is a significant step, and it remains to be seen if Al-Hamadi can maintain his form in a league with far higher levels of competition than the Championship.

If Al-Hamadi completes his move to Ipswich, there’s a high potential that the forward may establish himself as a vital player for the Tractor Boys, given how well he’s performed thus far and how he started for his country, Iraq, in the Asian Cup this season.

He can undoubtedly take Hirst’s place, who may be sidelined till the end of the campaign due to an injury, and he should be playing in the Premier League with the team the next season.
