Ipswich prices in list of most costly season tickets in the Championship

Ipswich Town offers their supporters excellent value for money at Portman Road with some of the lowest season tickets in the Championship.

This season, Ipswich Town has surprised everyone in the league by competing for promotion to the Premier League with the best teams in the Championship.

This is unexpected given that the Tractor Boys only made it to the second division last year, coming in second in League One after an incredible season led by manager Keiran McKenna.

In his first managerial position, the former Manchester United coach has made an impression, pushing Ipswich into a battle for the second automatic promotion spot.

Even though he faces challenges from Southampton and Leeds United, his team is well-positioned to earn promotion this year, and in August, we might see Ipswich play in the Premier League.

At the beginning of the season, this would have been unheard of, but under McKenna, the Tractor Boys have looked good enough to reach the summit.

Fans should be satisfied with the value they are receiving from their local team, considering the price they pay for a season ticket at Portman Road.

Based on Statista, the lowest season ticket price at Ipswich is just £353, which places it as the ninth-cheapest in the Championship.

It makes fitting that the Tractor Boys would have some of the lowest season ticket prices in the division, as this is their first season back in the Championship.

They still charge more than well-known Championship teams like Cardiff City (£299) and QPR (£242), though, so some supporters might feel they’re not getting a great deal.

However, they have completely exceeded expectations with their recent performances this year, and their quest for promotion has come out of nowhere.

They are far less expensive than teams like Ipswich (£510), Middlesbrough (£590), and Millwall (£441). These teams aren’t even close to the top of the standings.

The in-form team’s season ticket costs, on average, only £27 each game, making it an excellent deal.

Ipswich’s home form

It would be difficult to claim that the team isn’t giving Ipswich supporters their money’s worth from their season tickets this year given their home form this season.

One of the greatest home records in the division belongs to Ipswich. Thus far, the Tractor Boys have participated in 18 Championship games at Portman Road, winning 13 of them and only losing once.

Additionally, they have scored more goals at home than any other team in the division thus far this season—47 to be exact. Every time the supporters enter the stadium, excitement is assured.

The fact that their season ticket is less expensive than Leicester City’s and that they have comparable outcomes demonstrates how successful the team is performing this year.

With players like George Hirst, Nathan Broadhead, and Kieffer Moore doing well for the team this season, Ipswich has a lot of stars to entice the crowd, which is perhaps why they sold 21,000 season tickets for their Championship comeback.

Prices will probably go up the next season, but if Ipswich wins promotion at the end of the campaign, they will probably be among the lowest in the Premier League.
