Here’s how the bookies think Town will fare in the Premier League next season

The whole line-up for next season’s Premier League is set, so how do bookmakers rate Ipswich Town’s chances in the 2024/25 top flight?
Premier League Title Race Odds: Manchester City Remains Favorites

As you might think, the short answer is…not much.

Town will return to the Premier League for the first time in 22 years next season, with the nucleus of the side that competed in League One also responsible for their incredible rise to the top division.

As with any freshly promoted team, the first priority will be to keep up with the odds.

While a lot may happen during the summer, William Hill believes the Blues will face a difficult battle simply to survive.

Town are the second most likely to be relegated (8/11), trailing only Leicester City (2/5), who are expected to lose manager Enzo Maresca to Chelsea and begin the season with a points penalty.

Everton at 6/5, with Southampton at 11/8 and Nottingham Forest at 2/1 closing out the top five.

Of course, the last time Town were promoted to the Premier League, they stunned the world by beating the odds and finishing fifth under George Burley.

Could they try anything similar again? If you want to bet big, William Hill rates them as a 100/1 chance to finish in the top four next season.

Manchester City are the odds-on favorite to win five consecutive titles (10/11), with Arsenal coming in second at 9/4.

Liverpool, under new manager Arne Slot, is 15/2, with managerless Chelsea at 16/1.

Manchester United, who will decide on the future of manager Erik Ten Hag this week, are at 25/1, the same odds as Newcastle United.

Town sit at the bottom of the odds, tied with Leicester City at 1500/1 to win the Premier League.
