EVEN MORE CONFUSING I think Enzo Maresca’s flair is amazing, and I don’t blame him for responding to the groans from Leicester City.

The most recent Leicester City news is available on LeicestershireLive.com. Foxes supporter and reporter Amie Wilson shares her thoughts after attending the Swansea game at King Power Stadium.

At the end of January, Leicester City fans would have seized the opportunity to move the team up to 10 points clear of second-place Ipswich and 11 points clear of third-place Southampton after a convincing 3-1 victory over Swansea City.

At the first attempt, City appears poised to return to the Premier League and may even break the record for most Championship points. That’s all after a devastating relegation at the end of the previous campaign, which saw the departure of players like Harvey Barnes and James Maddison.

On Tuesday night, there were still a few complaints voiced in the fans despite this.Enzo Maresca has expressed that he is becoming impatient in his remarks after the conclusion of the game, indicating that he is aware of this.

I don’t blame him at all, Tuesday night, sitting in the stands. First of all, let’s simply state that it is the minority and that the majority is shown a willingness to adapt and accept that this is the way the club is going, even if they do not entirely agree with the style of play.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall gave City a 1-0 lead in the first three minutes, so I don’t think the early goal helped. Within minutes, Patson Daka had a great opportunity to put them ahead 2-0, but his shot inexplicably missed the post.

It may sound conceited, but after around fifteen minutes, City’s levels started to dwindle a little bit since they were finding things too simple. They still had opportunities to end the game quicker than they did, though.

The energy level looked to increase once more with Yunus Akgun’s arrival in the second half. Akgun’s goal and Stephy Mavididi’s goal shortly afterward completed the three-point victory.

However, there were hints of displeasure from those nearby during that first half of the game. Cries of “forward” were heard after the ball was played back, to the sound of groans.

It surprised me, and I don’t see how it helps a team that is still getting used to a whole new way of playing (that will persist as long as Maresca is on the team). As if to prove a point, City has actually created a solid chance or even scored from the same move on one or two instances this season that I have heard moans for.

Whether it’s a generational thing or not, I don’t know. I grew up watching Real Madrid, HAL possession-based football, along with Man City to some extent. It kind of amazes me to watch my squad perform the way they do now.

Some of the team goals have been incredible to see, and I particularly appreciate watching the movement and passing patterns that may open up a team in a different way than what we are used to. However, I acknowledge that not everyone views football in the same way.

However, isn’t the purpose of watching your team to see victories and goals? Under Maresca, City is delivering precisely that this season. In the last two home games, City has scored six goals and given up one, and I’ve enjoyed both.
