Hull City poised to sign Peterborough United defender this summer

According to a report from Nemzeti Sport, Hull City is on the verge of acquiring Peterborough United defender Gergo Bodnar this summer. Bodnar, an 18-year-old right-back, will join Hull City when his contract with Peterborough United expires at the end of the current season. Having progressed through Peterborough’s academy ranks, Bodnar is expected to seek a new challenge in the Championship with Hull City, as reported by Nemzeti Sport. Hull City sees Bodnar as a promising addition for the future as they aim to strengthen their development squad. The Hungarian player has been a consistent performer at various youth levels for Peterborough and signed a professional contract with the club in 2022. Despite primarily playing as a right-back, Bodnar can also operate in central defense or midfield if required. He gained valuable experience during loan spells at Kettering Town and Barwell in the National League North before returning to Peterborough. Hull City’s reputation for nurturing talent and helping players progress, such as Keane Lewis-Potter and Jarrod Bowen, makes them an appealing destination. Currently undergoing a training camp in Turkey, Hull City is gearing up for the final stages of the season, sitting in 7th place in the table and preparing for upcoming matches against Stoke City and Leeds United.
